Recognizing Your Experience
You may recognize yourself here.
People come to therapy for many different reasons. Sometimes you know exactly what has been difficult; other times, you simply know that something doesn’t feel right. You may recognize yourself in one of these experiences, several of them, or in something that is still difficult to put into words.
01
Anxiety, Worry & Overthinking
Your mind may rarely feel quiet. You may find yourself anticipating what could go wrong, replaying conversations, worrying about what others think, or struggling to feel settled even when everything appears to be okay.
02
Feeling Overwhelmed or Worn Down
Work, school, family, caregiving, relationships, or the ongoing demands of everyday life can begin to feel like too much. You may feel exhausted, irritable, emotionally drained, disconnected, or simply unlike yourself.
03
Never Feeling Quite Good Enough
You may be hard on yourself, worry about disappointing others, compare yourself to people around you, or carry a persistent sense that you should be doing more or somehow be different. Even when others see your strengths, it can be difficult to feel them yourself.
04
Relationships That Feel Difficult or Disconnected
Conflict may be happening more often, the same conversations may keep ending in the same place, or distance may have grown between you and someone important. You may be struggling with communication, trust, closeness, family relationships, or finding your way back to one another.
05
Patterns That Keep Repeating
You may notice familiar reactions, habits, or relationship patterns showing up again and again—even when you understand them afterward or genuinely want things to be different. Therapy can help make sense of what keeps those patterns going.
06
Life Transitions & Changing Relationships
Dating, separation, changing family roles, caregiving, work, health, adolescence, or other transitions can bring uncertainty about what you need, where you fit, and what comes next.
07
Teen Stress, Emotions & Relationships
Teens may be navigating anxiety, intense emotions, school pressure, perfectionism, changing friendships, family conflict, self-doubt, or questions about who they are. Therapy offers a safe place to talk, make sense of what is happening, and build practical ways of coping.
08
Feeling Stuck or Wanting Something to Change
Sometimes there isn’t one clear problem. You may simply know that something isn’t working anymore, that familiar patterns keep showing up, or that you don’t want to keep feeling or responding in the same ways. Therapy can be a place to begin making sense of that.
What Comes Next
Understanding can be a place to begin.
Recognizing yourself in one of these experiences is only part of the picture. Therapy offers space to slow things down, understand what may be shaping how you feel, think, or respond, and begin exploring what might help things feel different.
You Don’t Have to Figure It Out Alone
You can come with a clear concern, a complicated story, or simply a sense that something needs to change. We can begin from there.
