Oria Collective
To rise. To begin. To become.
Oria is inspired by the Latin word oriri, meaning to rise, begin, or originate. It reflects our belief that understanding ourselves, our relationships, and the patterns that shape our lives creates the possibility for meaningful change.

What Brings You Here
Many people begin here—when life starts to feel heavier than usual.
Together, we'll slow down, make sense of what's happening, and find a way forward that feels right for you.
Explore Areas of SupportWorry and stress have started taking over everyday life.
Family relationships feel more strained than connected.
The same conversations keep ending in the same place.
Everything feels bigger than it used to.
You know something needs to change—you just aren't sure where to begin.
Meet the Founder
Understanding created Oria.
Oria Collective was founded on a simple belief: understanding creates possibility.
For more than two decades, Deborah has worked alongside teens, adults, couples, and families through life’s challenges, changing relationships, and important transitions. Those experiences continue to shape the philosophy that guides Oria today.
We believe meaningful change begins when we can make sense of ourselves, our relationships, and the patterns that quietly shape how we think, feel, and connect with others.
Every conversation is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and evidence-informed care, creating space for meaningful, lasting change.
Therapy is about creating space to be heard, understood, and supported—so meaningful change can take root.
Evidence-Informed Therapy
Therapy isn’t
one-size-fits-all.
Some people come looking for practical tools they can use right away.
Others are hoping to better understand themselves, their relationships, or patterns that have kept them feeling stuck. Most people benefit from both.
That’s why we don’t rely on a single method or apply the same approach to everyone. We thoughtfully draw from a range of evidence-informed therapies, adapting our work to your goals, strengths, relationships, and what you are working through.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviours influence one another while developing practical strategies for meaningful, lasting change.
Emotion-Focused Therapy
Strengthen emotional awareness, deepen connection, and better understand the feelings that shape experiences and relationships.
Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)
Explore how relationships, communication, grief, and life transitions may influence emotional well-being.
Solution-Focused Therapy
Build on existing strengths, recognize what is already helping, and identify realistic steps toward meaningful change.
Attachment-Informed Therapy
Understand how patterns of connection influence relationships, emotional safety, trust, and the ways we relate to ourselves and others.
Trauma-Informed Therapy
Work within a safe, collaborative space that recognizes the impact of difficult experiences while supporting healing and resilience.
Different approaches. Shared purpose.
We don’t begin with a therapy model. We begin with understanding. Together, we draw from evidence-informed approaches that fit your goals, your relationships, and what matters most to you.

Clear information,
before you begin.
Beginning therapy is an important decision. Before your first appointment, you’ll have clear information about fees, payment, insurance coverage, and what to expect.
Session Fees
Fees vary depending on the type and length of appointment. You’ll always know the cost before booking, with no unexpected charges.
View Current FeesInsurance Coverage
Many extended health plans provide coverage for services delivered by a registered social worker. Coverage varies, so it’s always a good idea to confirm your coverage directly with your insurer before your first appointment.
A receipt will be provided after each paid appointment for you to submit to your insurance provider.
Payment & Receipts
Payment is processed at the time of your appointment. Most clients choose to securely save a credit card in Jane, our encrypted practice-management platform. This allows payment to be processed automatically after each session and receipts to be issued immediately.
If paying by credit card isn’t possible, Interac e-transfer can be arranged before your appointment. To keep appointments running smoothly, e-transfer payments must be received before the session begins.
A thoughtful place
to begin.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out.
